Prayers to our Lady

HAIL MARY

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen

HAIL, HOLY QUEEN

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.

R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray: Almighty and everlasting God, Who by the working of the Holy Spirit didst prepare both body and soul of the glorious Virgin Mother, Mary, that she might deserve to be made a worthy dwelling for Thy Son, grant that we who rejoice in her memory, may, by her loving intercession, be delivered from present evils and from lasting death, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen

THE ANGELUS

V. The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.
R. And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.

Hail Mary, etc.

R. And dwelt among us.
Hail Mary, etc.

V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

LET US PRAY: Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts, that we to whom the Incarnation of Christ Thy Son was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection. Through the same Christ Our Lord.
Amen

THE REGINA COELI

V. Has risen, as He said, alleluia.

our Lord Jesus Christ, grant we beseech Thee, that through the intercession of the virgin Mary,
His mother, we may obtain the joys of everlasting life. Through the same Christ our Lord.

MEMORARE

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

SUB TUUM PRAESIDIUM

We fly to thy protection,
O holy Mother of God.
Despise not our petitions in our necessities,
but deliver us always from all dangers,
O glorious and blessed Virgin.

MAGNIFICAT

MagnificatMy soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm,
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children forever.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

DAILY OFFERING

My Queen and my Mother, to thee I offer myself without any reserve;  and to give thee a mark of my devotion, I consecrate to thee during this day my eyes, my ears, my mouth, my heart, and my whole person. Since I belong to thee, O my good Mother, preserve and defend me as thy property and possession.

AVE MARIS STELLA

Hail, O Star of the ocean, God´s own Mother blest, ever sinless Virgin, Gate of heavenly rest

Taking that sweet Ave, which from Gabriel came, peace confirm within us, changing Eve´s name.

Break the sinners´fetters, make our blindness day, chase all evils from us, for all blessings pray.

Show thyself a Mother, May the Word divine born for us thine Infant Hear our prayers through thine.

Virgin all excelling, mildest of the mild, free from guilt preserve us meek and undefiled.

Keep our life all spotless, make our way secure till we find in Jesus, joy for evermore.

Praise to God the Father, honor to the Son, in the Holy Spirit, be the glory one. Amen.

STABAT MATER

At the cross her station keeping, stood the mournful Mother weeping, close to Jesus to the last.
Through her heart, his sorrow sharing, all His bitter anguish bearing, now at length the sword had passed.

Oh, how sad and sore distressed was that Mother highly blest, of the sole begotten One!
Christ above in torment hangs. She beneath beholds the pangs of her dying glorious Son.

Is there one who would not weep, whelmed in miseries so deep, Christ’s dear Mother to behold?
Can the human heart refrain from partaking in her pain, in that Mother’s pain untold?

Bruised, derided, cursed, defiled, She beheld her tender Child, all with bloody scourges rent.
For the sins of His own nation, saw Him hang in desolation till His spirit forth He sent.

O thou Mother: fount of love! Touch my spirit from above, make my heart with thine accord.
Make me feel as thou hast felt; make my soul to glow and melt with the love of Christ my Lord.

Holy Mother, pierce me through; In my heart each wound renew of my Savior crucified.
Let me share with thee His pain, Who for all my sins was slain, who for me in torment died.

Let me mingle tears with thee, Mourning Him who mourned for me, all the days that I may live.
By the Cross with thee to stay; There with thee to weep and pray, is all I ask of thee to give.

Virgin of all virgins best, Listen to my fond request: let me share thy grief divine.
Let me to my latest breath, In my body bear the death of that dying Son of thine.

Wounded with His every wound, Steep my soul till it hath swooned in His very blood away.
Be to me, O Virgin, nigh, Lest in flames I burn and die, in His awful Judgment day.

Christ, when Thou shalt call me hence, Be Thy Mother my defense, be Thy Cross my victory.
While my body here decays, May my soul Thy goodness praise, safe in Paradise with Thee. Amen.
